Revealing God

God has spent all of human history revealing more and more of himself to humanity. It is time to recognize those cycles and endeavors for what they were and for what we were. The metaphors and symbolisms were appropriate for the stage of human civilization and human cognition. But we are in a different stage today and it is time to recognize the past revelations for what they were and it is time to look beyond those metaphors and conceive of something new today.

God does not have a physical form that sits upon a physical throne. God does not have a physical form to have either a left hand or a right hand. God is everywhere, in everything, on everything, above everything, under everything, at all times. God is the fabric of the cosmos. There is no up, down, front, back, left, or right. God is all of physics and more. God is all of chemistry and still more. And God’s angels neither have a physical form with which to blow upon a physical trumpet. Angels do not have a physical form to wield a physical sword.

We have to now understand God for what God is, and it is something greater than our imagination. Even our most creative conjurings will never ever capture the essence of what God really is because God is so much more than our brains can conceive. God created our brains from which flows our cognition. Therefore our brains can never reach the level of understanding, of comprehending God. We are incapable of imagining God’s superiority and supremacy.

Everything in the past, everything in history was a foretype, a foreshadowing, a prefiguring to lead us down a path to a time when we could begin to grasp what God is and what God’s nature is.

Thus says the Lord God.

“God is spirit, and those who worship Him
must worship in spirit and truth.”
John 4:24; Isaiah 31:3
